    Tips For Promoting Your Virtual Event On Social Media

    Today, thanks to digitization, we have different tools with which we can promote our events, whether virtual, hybrid, or face-to-face and our goal will be to get the largest number of participants.

    The advantage of these types of virtual events is that your participants can attend from anywhere in the world, without space restrictions. Therefore, it is essential to develop a marketing strategy for your event on social networks in order to create reach and get expectations from your attendees.

    Here are different tactics to promote your event:

    Create expectation

    Sometime before the day of the event, start promoting your event on social networks by telling the background story, details about the organization, and one of the most used and most successful, periodically revealing small parts, or previews, of the program of the event. This builds interest and anticipation for future attendees.

    Design a hashtag for your event

    Create a hashtag that communicates and transfers the message of your event to the public, thus reinforcing the feeling of community among the participants.

    In addition, it will allow you to track everything that is being said during and after the event.

    Organic promotion

    Plan a calendar around the event with different types and formats of posts. You can include relevant information about the event, the speakers, sponsors, and collaborators. And you can include interesting facts about the industry and the event agency. And you can create promotional videos, which are the most popular among many other contents.

    Promote your event landing page with paid ads

    Considering the type of event and the audience, it would be interesting to create ads on different social networks, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, among others. Taking into account the value that you are willing to invest for each click or participant when registering, implement campaigns with a Call-To-Action that takes the user to the event website where they can register, being able to considerably increase the number of attendees.

    Assign a person to do communications during the event

    It is very likely that during the event you do not have the option to be aware of social networks, assigning someone to follow up can be a successful strategy. Publishing interesting data in real-time such as quotes, figures, images, videos, or any other that could be interesting, as well as increasing interaction between users during the event.

    Implement the Twitter feed in your event

    Related to the previous point, encourage participants to participate live during the event through the leading social network to create interaction and conversation. Something very common, we are more tempted to do something if many before us have done it, and the attendees of your event will act as well. Therefore, viewing the live Twitter feed scrolling through the event will make your attendees more tempted to take action.

    Promoting your event on social networks is essentially knowing which platforms to do it on to find your active audience and what types of content they will be interested in interacting with. The more you understand your target audience, the more effective these tactics will be.
